Creating a safe, welcoming community requires collaboration, shared priorities and strategic investment. In Lilburn, that environment is strengthened through an ongoing partnership between the Lilburn Police Department and the Lilburn Community Improvement District (CID), focused on proactive safety solutions that support residents, businesses and visitors alike.
The Lilburn Police Department’s mission is rooted in working cooperatively with the community to promote a safe and secure environment, preserve peace and uphold the law through ethical and dedicated service. That mission aligns closely with the work of the Lilburn CID, which creates public-private partnerships to invest in projects and programs that improve safety, mobility, connectivity and the community’s overall aesthetics.
By aligning goals and resources, Lilburn PD and Lilburn CID take a coordinated approach to public safety that supports both quality of life and long-term economic vitality.
One example of this partnership in action is the use of Flock Safety license plate reading cameras throughout the City of Lilburn. These cameras enhance crime monitoring and help improve response time by allowing officers to quickly identify vehicles connected to criminal activity.
The city is currently equipped with 36 Flock Safety cameras. Lilburn CID funded 11 of those cameras, while the Lilburn Police Department funded the remaining 25. This shared investment expands coverage across key corridors and commercial areas, supporting proactive policing while aligning with broader community improvement goals.
