In 2024, Lilburn CID, City of Lilburn and the Downtown Development Authority, joined forces in partnering on transformative projects to improve mobility, promote pedestrian activity and enhance the community’s visual appeal. These initiatives aimed to position U.S.-29 as a hub for upscale retail, transforming the corridor into a vibrant and dynamic destination.
Through public-private partnerships, the collaboration is working to design a pedestrian-friendly environment that thoughtfully balances the needs of vehicles and trucks while prioritizing safety, accessibility and traffic flow.
