Jimmy Carter Corridor Study

The Lilburn CID, Tucker Summit CID and Gateway85 CID partnered with Gwinnett County and the City of Tucker (in DeKalb County) to contribute $200,000 toward a study of the Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Mountain Industrial Boulevard corridor, stretching from I-85 to East Ponce de Leon Avenue. This collaboration underscored the importance of cooperation in achieving successful community improvements. The three Atlanta-based Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) worked across city and county lines to assess future transportation enhancements along the 6.6-mile corridor.

Gwinnett County contributed $67,000 from the 2017 Special Purpose Local Options Sales Tax (SPLOST), with the remaining funds allocated among the participating agencies.
