KEDPlasma opens new plasma collection center in CID area
KEDPlasma, one of the world’s leading collectors of high-quality human blood plasma, recently opened its new plasma collection center on Lawrenceville Highway. With the addition, KEDPlasma owns and operates 13 plasma collection centers nationwide.
KEDPlasma is a subsidiary of Kedrion Biopharma Inc., and it collects plasma to produce products for use in treating or preventing hemophilia, primary immune system deficiencies and Rh sensitization.
Outside of their professional efforts aimed at improving lives, employees of the new KEDPlasma facility volunteered their time to prepare medical equipment needed in areas impacted by recent hurricanes. These volunteers assisted the work of Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) in neighboring Stone Mountain – a connection facilitated by the Lilburn CID.
