New Development Update: Medical Building on Highway 29
Ground has broken and the foundation laid for a new medical complex at the intersection of Mimosa Drive and Highway 29. The $5 million building of nearly 15,000 square feet will serve as a plasma collection center operated by Kedplasma USA. The company is a subsidiary of Kedrion Biopharma, an international producer and distributor of plasma-derived medicinal products for use in treating severe diseases, such as hemophilia and immune system deficiencies.
Stough Development Corporation of Cincinnati is providing design-build management for the project. Company vice-president Scott Stough said, “Stough Development Corporation is excited to be investing in the Lilburn community as well as the community improvement district. We feel that development along this corridor will continue for years to come and add to an already thriving neighborhood.”
Kedplasma operates 12 plasma centers in the United States and is planning two centers in the metro Atlanta area. Occupancy by Kedplasma is expected by mid-summer.
